..I wanted to create a place in which students can relax after a full day of stressful activities, while eating healthy, delicious and more importantly, affordable meals.

 

I don’t see myself as a chef, or food specialist, but one thing I know is that I have a passion for food. For me, why serve food half-heartedly, when you can combine passion and love for food to create meals that students could love and enjoy. Food served in Smokin’ Plate is guaranteed to be smokin’, not just because they are served in sizzling plates, but because each bite will be full of flavour and taste. Taste, that I am sure students would be coming back for more, again and again. Our menu has been designed to bring the best smokin’ bite you can get from a sizzling menu.

 

Ever since I was young, I could pretty much say that I learned how to use a spatula first before even dribbling a ball. Cooking is tiring at times, creating recipes, and tasting every little adjustment, but everything just washes away as soon as I see the smiles that come with every bite of food served. Food, I believe should never be based on profit, but rather the fellowship and company of friends that eating food together can bring.

 

So here I am, Nathan Batang, food is my love, and serving is my passion. EAT, RELAX, and ENJOY.
